Corrie Grosse uses her interlude to reflect of the practices of youth movements' coalition building activities. She also finds hope in their ability to have honest conversations. "By prioritizing coalition building, youth activists have taught me the importance of “calling each other in” across lines of difference. In the historically white, privileged US environmental movement, calling attention to oppressive behavior is necessary for dismantling power structures—for realizing climate justice. It is a constructive way to recognize privilege and power. Activists can use “calling in” to alert white men dominating conversation in a meeting of the need to make space for other voices."

We will be rolling out the individual "interludes"  over the next few months.
